You whip around to see who was behind you, but before you could, you felt a strong push on your shoulders. For a single moment, time seemed to freeze. You stare with wide open eyes at the sky above you before all of a sudden time resumes. Air quickly whips past your face and a sharp pain shoots through your body when you hit the cold waters below. Despite your best efforts to swim your way to safety, the current of the river is too strong and pulls you under. Eventually you become so tired and worn out that you decide that it’s easier to give in. Blackness consumes your consciousness and then all is no more.
